Donald Trump’s Accomplishments vs. Joe Biden’s Accomplishments

During Trump’s 4 years in the White House he continually attacked members of NATO claiming they weren’t paying their dues. There are no dues for NATO members. It is not a country club. However, there is a requirement that each member assigns at least 2% of its national budget to defense. Most countries have met this requirement. He tried to repeal and replace the Affordable Health Care Act, even though there never was a replacement. He failed! Every other week was infrastructure week. It never happened. He wanted to build a wall on the southern border which Mexico was supposed to pay for. Although he did build about 50 miles of fencing along a 2,000 mile border, Mexico never paid for it. The idea is asinine as most illegals simply wade across the Rio Grande. He did manage to sign a huge tax cut for the wealthy into law which contributed to a huge increase in the national debt of $7.8 trillion during his 4 years in office. He also managed to discreetly raise taxes on everyone by instituting tariffs on all imported goods. He agreed to an illogical pull out of U. S. troops from Afghanistan, and left President Biden with a huge problem. He pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal which further radicalized the Iranian government. He pulled out of the Paris climate accord. He watched helplessly as a pandemic killed millions of Americans only suggesting that they drink bleach as a remedy. Members of his medical advisory board cringed at the suggestion. People were disgusted to find that Trump was having children even babies separated from their mothers at the border many of whom have never been reunited.

On the other hand, in his first 3 years in office, President Joe Biden:

  1. Ordered an additional 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Signed $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan $1,400 per person checks.
  2. Increases to the Child Tax Credit, Earned-Income Tax Credit $300 extended unemployment insurance.
  3. Lower health insurance premiums for lower- and middle-income families enrolled in health insurance marketplaces Canceled $1.5 billion in student debt
  4. Ended the War in Afghanistan
  5. Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
  6. U.S. gross domestic product grew at 5.7 percent for the year
  7. Signed the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
  8. Led a massive international response to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
  9. Signed the first major gun safety legislation
  10. Unemployment falls to 3.4 percent
  11. Signed the CHIPS and Science Act into law
  12. Signed ratification documents approving NATO membership for Finland and Sweden, strengthening the NATO alliance
  13. Signed PACT Act strengthening health care and benefits for America’s veterans and their survivors.
  14. Signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law.
  15. Under Biden’s executive order, hearing aids became available over the counter
  16. Signed legislation to avoid a potentially catastrophic rail strike
  17. Approved a deal to bring WNBA star Brittney Griner home
  18. Signed the Respect for Marriage Act
  19. Ended the pandemic
  20. Marched on the picket lines with striking auto workers
  21. Help end the auto workers strike
  22. Reduced pandemic cause supply chain inflation without causing a recession.
  23. Strengthened NATO and prosecuted a war against Russian aggression in Ukraine without putting American troops in harms way.
  24. Supported Israel after Hamas’ Palestinian invasion of Israel while trying to reign in Netanyahu.

Under the Liberal Democratic order of the past 90 years America has become the shining beacon of hope for most people and countries in this world trying to escape political oppression by right wing dictators. America has boasted the best economy and by far the strongest military in the world, but now, led by the Nazi Donald Trump, many Republicans are trying to destroy American Democracy and make Donald Trump their new dictator. We must never allow this to happen.
